Experimenting to make a chocolate smoothie with avocado is complete. Every time I’ve had a smoothie with an avocado out I loved the smooth texture it delivers. I have tried to replicate a few different ways and I think this version hits the mark. The mix of ingredients are fantastic!
Starting with dates, the perfect super food provides the natural sweet with fiber. The avocado provides the rich smooth texture while I throw in one of Dr. Michael Greger’s Daily Dozen, flaxseed, to give you the heart healthy boost of omega-3s! If you know me well, you know I love chocolate and this comes the way of cacao and your choice of either Vega Protein & Greens or Hammer Nutrition Organic Vegan Recoverite. Cacao is great for our heart and brain power as well. Throw in your favorite plant-based milk and you have quite the healthy treat. If you are looking for a bit more protein, find a drink mix to suit your needs or if you are looking for more carbs as I do to fuel recovery after a tough workout, find a more carb loaded drink mix. The two I listed here are my favorites.

- Cacao – 2 tablespoons
